Picking up where last week left off
Last update, we translated all six category hubs into Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese, so the site's navigation works properly in those languages even where individual guides are still English-only. This week, we started filling in that gap with the two guides most likely to matter before anything else on a trip: Getting Around Sydney and Visa & Entry Requirements.
Why these two, first
Everything else on the site is optional reading — inspiration, ideas, honest opinions on what's worth your time. These two aren't optional: you need a visa to board your flight, and you'll use the Opal transport system within an hour of landing. Translating them first, ahead of neighbourhood or attraction guides, was a deliberate call about what actually helps a non-English-speaking visitor most in the early planning stages.
What's next
We'll keep working through the practical info section in these three languages before moving on to the most-visited neighbourhoods and attractions — a similar priority order to how we built out the English site originally, just applied a second time. The other 13 languages remain queued behind these three.
